I have not personally played Golden Nugget nor know anyone personally who has much experience on it. I've heard it's nice but pretty expensive.

Got a trip over there coming up and was trying to figure out which one is in better condition.
Personally I would go Grey Plantation or the National over either of them.

But agree with those who say isn’t worth $150. We got a group discount for $100.
Gray plantation is a nice track for a lot less money.

I was told Contraband used to be solid prior to GN arrival. Not the case any longer when comparing the two. GN much superior to Contraband and IMO some of the best greens in the state.

I don't think anyone who has played both thinks Contraband is close to nugget in terms of quality. Nugget is just crazy expensive to play unless you can get on cheaper. 100+ for any course in LC is pretty crazy imo.

Nugget was the much better course IMO, but the amenities were better at Contraband.
The Nugget doesn't even have a driving range. It's ok playing there if you are staying there and can get the green fee comped or discounted, but to actually drive up and play either is dumb. Not worth it.

And they charge $150 to play? Screw that. Why would anyone do want to do that?
